The facility, located in the Albertville Industrial Park, will offer advanced temperature-controlled storage, blast freezing, and logistics services. By placing this capacity directly within reach of major processors and distributors, the development seeks to improve operational efficiency for local agricultural businesses. Beyond infrastructure, the project is expected to generate 50 permanent roles in warehouse operations and facility maintenance.
Alex Jones, President of UB Community Development, noted that the investment aligns with United Bank’s long-standing history of supporting agricultural growth in rural areas. This marks the third New Markets Tax Credit initiative the firm has supported in Albertville since 2018, following previous investments in local manufacturing and rail infrastructure. Across the Southeast, UB Community Development has deployed $57 million into six different projects so far this year, contributing to the creation of over 400 new jobs.
