Payward and Singapore Gulf Bank Link for 24/7 Asset Settlement

Institutional digital asset markets are shedding traditional banking bottlenecks as Payward and Singapore Gulf Bank launch a real-time clearing partnership. By integrating SGB Net, the firms aim to eliminate the delay between standard business hours and the non-stop nature of crypto trading, starting with US dollar transactions.

The collaboration leverages SGB Net, a clearing network launched in 2025 that currently processes over $20 billion in monthly fiat transactions. For institutional clients, this means funds deposited with Payward can now be deployed instantly, regardless of the time or day. The initiative initially targets a select group of users with plans to scale across more jurisdictions and currencies.

Beyond settlement, Singapore Gulf Bank will integrate Kraken Prime to access deeper liquidity for its own digital asset offerings. This move aligns with Payward’s broader strategy to modernize its banking infrastructure, which powers the Kraken exchange and associated financial products. With backing from Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund, Mumtalakat, and Singapore’s Whampoa Group, SGB provides the regulatory bridge necessary to align traditional banking speed with the demands of global digital asset trading.
