Latitude Air Ambulance Confirms Loss of Flight Heartbeat104

The United States Coast Guard has shifted from active search and rescue to recovery operations for the Heartbeat104 medevac flight, which disappeared while traveling from Bermuda to Boston. Latitude Air Ambulance confirmed that the six individuals on board, including four crew members, are now presumed to have died.

The company expressed profound grief over the loss of its team members, who were performing medical transport duties when the accident occurred. Latitude president Peter Byl described the event as an unimaginable tragedy and emphasized that the organization is currently prioritizing support for the families of the victims.

Latitude is cooperating with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada to determine the cause of the crash. While investigations proceed, the company has declined to speculate on the circumstances of the incident, opting to wait for formal findings from aviation authorities. The operator also extended its gratitude to the international search teams from the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda for their efforts throughout the rescue phase.
