Founder and CEO Dr. Thompson Lin stated that the influx of capital will bolster the firm's balance sheet while fueling the expansion of advanced manufacturing capacity. The company plans to allocate these funds toward new production equipment, machinery, and research and development initiatives, specifically targeting the surging demand for high-speed optical connectivity in AI-driven data centers.

Beyond production scaling, Applied Optoelectronics intends to utilize the proceeds for general corporate requirements, including potential debt repayment and working capital needs.
