Zhang succeeds Jie Liu, who will remain with the company as Chief Executive Officer. The transition coincides with the departure of Chenglong Yang, who resigned from his position as a Director and committee member on the same date. According to the company, both leadership changes were prompted by personal reasons and are unrelated to any internal operational disputes or policy disagreements.
Bringing a background in capital allocation and strategic oversight, Zhang previously served as Managing Partner at H Alpha Management. His portfolio includes directorships at several U.S. firms, such as Anbio Biotechnology and Summa Innovations. His appointment signals a broader shift for the Weifang-based company, which has spent over two decades focused on cold roll formed steel profiles for mining, construction, and transportation. Zhang expressed intent to leverage his financial expertise to guide the company's expansion into solid-state lithium battery production and next-generation energy markets.
