Georgia-Pacific Brings Packaging Innovation to NACS Show 2026

With over 90% of U.S. convenience stores now offering prepared meals, Georgia-Pacific Foodservice Solutions is pivoting to meet rising consumer quality demands. The company is heading to the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas to demonstrate how specialized packaging can drive profitability and repeat customer traffic for retailers.

At booth C55059 in the Central Hall, the company will highlight its Anchor Packaging brand, focusing on solutions that balance operational efficiency with food preservation. Central to the exhibit is the Invertibles™ single-piece container, a recent recipient of the Convenience Store News Best New Product Award. By using a single component for both base and lid, the design allows operators to slash storage requirements by 50% and eliminate the common frustration of mismatched packaging parts.

Beyond inventory management, the company is targeting the quality of grab-and-go options through its Crisp Food Technologies® line. These containers are engineered to maintain the texture and heat of fried foods, addressing a primary pain point for retailers attempting to sustain high standards in hot cases. According to Ryan Elwart, senior vice president of sales and innovation, the goal is to shift the industry perspective from viewing packaging as a simple vessel to recognizing it as a critical tool for food quality and brand reputation. With nearly 65 years of history in the restaurant and grocery sectors, Georgia-Pacific intends to leverage that expertise to help convenience stores differentiate their prepared food programs as competition for meal-time spending intensifies.
