The branch at 15273 W. Sunset Blvd serves as a hub for local families and business owners managing insurance claims and cash-flow challenges. Lindsay Dunn, executive vice president of Personal & Business Banking, noted that the physical space allows for face-to-face consultations, providing a necessary anchor for clients who lost homes or businesses in the blaze. The office is equipped with two private consultation rooms, an ATM, and three service desks, designed with local artwork to mirror the neighborhood's resilience.
City National’s return follows a broader $3 million relief effort coordinated with its parent company, the Royal Bank of Canada. This support provided over 2 million meals, 3,500 households with rental assistance, and temporary housing for 5,000 families. The bank also implemented a three-year mortgage and HELOC forbearance program for affected clients. Branch manager Evelyn Peera emphasized that while remote service continued throughout the closure, the physical presence enables residents to handle complex tasks like mortgage refinancing and business loan applications directly on-site. The branch is now operating Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
