Investors Face October Deadline in Simply Good Foods Fraud Lawsuit

Investors who lost more than $100,000 in The Simply Good Foods Company stock between October 2024 and April 2026 have until October 13 to apply for the role of lead plaintiff. A class action lawsuit alleges the company misled shareholders regarding the integration of its OWYN acquisition.

The lawsuit, filed by the Rosen Law Firm, contends that Simply Good Foods concealed significant operational failures following its purchase of Only What You Need, Inc. (OWYN). According to the complaint, the company lost essential managerial staff, leading to a bloated organizational structure and a lack of clear strategic direction. Furthermore, the transition to a new pea protein supplier reportedly compromised product quality, resulting in poor texture, negative consumer reviews, and strained distributor relationships.

To address these internal struggles, management allegedly relied on aggressive promotional discounts that eroded profit margins without providing a long-term sales boost. When these issues surfaced, the company’s share price suffered, prompting the legal action. Investors who purchased common stock during the specified period may participate in the litigation without out-of-pocket costs. Those interested in seeking the lead plaintiff position must move the Court before the October 13 deadline, as no class has yet been certified.
