Red Bull Launches Global EA SPORTS FC 27 Tournament

Players across 80 countries are competing for a spot at the Red Bull Wings Cup World Final in Miami. The tournament, hosted in partnership with EA SPORTS and PlayStation, offers two distinct paths for participants to prove their skills on the digital pitch before the grand showdown in early 2027.

The competition splits into two primary tracks: the University League and the Open League. University students will compete on PlayStation 5 consoles using the EA SPORTS FC 27 Rush mode, while the Open League invites players to utilize their own squads within the Ultimate Team mode via PlayStation Tournaments. Both paths lead to National Finals, including a U.S.-specific event scheduled for December 4, 2026, in Chicago. Winners from these regional stages will earn the right to represent their home countries at the World Final, hosted at Inter Miami's Nu Stadium.

Registration is open to U.S. residents aged 18 and older, with deadlines set for October 25 for the Open League and November 15 for the University League. Beyond the tournament brackets, Red Bull is releasing limited-edition cans that provide in-game rewards and entries into a sweepstakes for a trip to the Miami final. Participants are required to maintain valid EA, PlayStation Network, and PlayStation Plus subscriptions to compete in the main event.
