Originally introduced as a limited edition in 2017, the Talismán now joins the permanent portfolio as the ninth vitola in the Línea Clásica. Presented in the Sublimes No. 1 format—measuring 54-ring gauge by 154 mm—the cigar is crafted using long-filler tobacco sourced from the San Juan y Martínez and San Luis zones of Cuba’s Vuelta Abajo region. Aficionados can expect a 60 to 90-minute smoking experience characterized by woody notes, roasted coffee undertones, and a medium-to-full body.
The global unveiling in London brought together 400 guests, including international distributors and executives from Habanos, S.A. To mark the occasion, the company introduced updated packaging across the Línea Clásica, featuring 10-count Boîte Nature boxes. Each box incorporates NFC technology, allowing consumers to verify product authenticity through a digital interface linked to the Habano. This integration, alongside a new foot band detailing the vitola's name, reflects the brand's shift toward modernizing its traditional luxury appeal while honoring its 1966 origins. According to José María López Inchaurbe, Vice-President of Development at Habanos, S.A., the Talismán is merely the first chapter in an extensive calendar of releases planned for the upcoming "Año Cohiba."
