Ardelyx Executives Named in Securities Class Action Over Revenue Projections

Investors in Ardelyx, Inc. face a November 16, 2026, deadline to seek lead plaintiff status in a class action lawsuit targeting the company’s senior leadership. The complaint alleges that top executives misled shareholders by projecting $1.75 billion in peak sales for XPHOZAH and IBSRELA while hidden access barriers mounted.

The litigation, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, covers shareholders who purchased Ardelyx securities between January 13, 2025, and August 6, 2026. The lawsuit names President and CEO Michael Raab, former CFO Justin Renz, current CFO Susan Hohenleitner, and Chief Commercial Officer Eric Foster as individual defendants. Plaintiffs argue these officers exerted control over SEC filings and public statements, effectively masking the impact of payer-related reimbursement hurdles on new-patient starts.

Financial tension peaked on August 6, 2026, when Ardelyx downgraded its full-year IBSRELA revenue guidance and withdrew long-term projections for XPHOZAH. Following the disclosure, the company’s stock price fell approximately 18%, or $0.87 per share. The complaint invokes Section 20(a) of the Exchange Act, seeking to hold the named executives personally accountable for the losses, rather than limiting liability to the corporate entity. Investors are encouraged to retain brokerage records of their transactions to determine potential eligibility for recovery as the court-appointed lead plaintiff selection process moves forward.
