SVRN Acquires FastNEAR to Secure Core NEAR Protocol Infrastructure

SVRN, Inc. has acquired FastNEAR, a critical provider of RPC infrastructure for the NEAR Protocol, in a move to transition from a digital asset manager into an active operator of the blockchain’s backbone. The acquisition integrates the team behind 3.5 billion monthly network requests into SVRN’s expanding corporate structure.

FastNEAR, founded by Evgeny Kuzyakov and Mike Purvis, acts as the invisible engine for the NEAR ecosystem. Its servers manage high-volume tasks such as balance lookups, transaction processing, and archival data storage, including the NEARDATA feed. By bringing these operations in-house, SVRN gains direct control over the infrastructure that developers rely on to interface with the blockchain.

SVRN CEO Sal Ternullo stated that the acquisition provides a strategic vantage point into real-time network demand, allowing the company to identify gaps in developer tooling. While financial terms remain undisclosed, the deal marks a shift in SVRN’s strategy: moving beyond simple treasury management and staking to building proprietary products on top of established network services. The existing infrastructure will continue to operate without interruption, with SVRN pledging further investment in capacity and reliability to support the growing agentic economy.
