Signpost Swings to Profit as Revenue Climbs to 1.89 Billion Yen

Tokyo-based Signpost Corp. reported a significant financial turnaround for the half-year ending August 31, posting a net profit of 92 million yen. This marks a sharp reversal from the 26 million yen loss recorded during the same period last year, driven by a robust increase in total revenue.

The company’s revenue for the six-month period reached 1.89 billion yen, climbing from 1.45 billion yen a year earlier. Operating profit hit 76 million yen, contrasting with the 20 million yen loss sustained in the previous fiscal cycle. Pretax profit followed a similar trajectory, settling at 76 million yen compared to the prior year's loss of 25 million yen.

Earnings per share rose to 7.26 yen, with diluted earnings reported at 7.25 yen. According to the financial disclosure, which adheres to Japanese accounting standards, the company maintains a year-end dividend forecast of 6.00 yen per share, despite declaring no midyear dividend payout.
