Can Do Co. Profits Slide as Half-Year Costs Rise

Can Do Co. Ltd. reported a sharp decline in net profit for the first half of the fiscal year ending August 31, falling to 480 million yen from 725 million yen during the same period last year. Earnings per share dropped to 30.05 yen, down from 45.32 yen in 2025.

Despite a modest uptick in revenue, which climbed to 44.74 billion yen from 43.37 billion yen, the company faced significant pressure on its bottom line. Operating profit contracted to 997 million yen, compared to the 1.32 billion yen recorded in the prior year. Pretax profit followed a similar downward trajectory, settling at 952 million yen against the previous 1.32 billion yen figure. These results were prepared in accordance with Japanese accounting standards.
