Invesco Assets Slip to $2.54 Trillion Amid Market Headwinds

A $24.3 billion retreat in total assets under management marked September for Invesco Ltd., as the Atlanta-based investment firm reported a 0.9% decline in month-end holdings. The drop reflects a broader month of volatility, with unfavorable market returns and currency shifts outweighing modest distribution reinvestments across the firm's global portfolio.

The firm’s preliminary assets under management settled at $2,537.8 billion by the end of September. This contraction was driven by $16 billion in negative market returns, alongside a $2.7 billion impact from unfavorable foreign exchange movements. Investor behavior also pressured the bottom line, with long-term net outflows reaching $1.1 billion and money market funds shedding an additional $5.7 billion. These losses were slightly mitigated by $0.9 billion in reinvested distributions.

Despite the monthly dip, Invesco’s quarterly performance metrics remain substantial. Average total assets for the period ending September 30 reached $2,510.2 billion, with active strategies accounting for $1,246.0 billion of that total. The firm continues to manage a diverse array of vehicles, ranging from $774.6 billion in ETFs and index strategies to $307.9 billion in fundamental fixed income products, serving clients across more than 120 countries.
