FNB Taps Brent Gore to Lead Raleigh-Durham Expansion

With over 25 years of experience in middle-market banking, D. Brent Gore has been appointed as the new Market Executive and President of First National Bank’s Raleigh-Durham region. His arrival marks a strategic push by the Pittsburgh-based firm to deepen its commercial footprint across North Carolina’s high-growth markets.

Gore arrives at FNB following senior leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase, Comerica, and Wells Fargo, where he managed large-scale commercial and industrial lending portfolios. In his new capacity, he will supervise the regional deployment of FNB’s cross-functional business model, focusing on treasury management, capital markets, and M&A advisory services. Vince Delie, Chairman and CEO of F.N.B. Corporation, noted that Gore’s deep ties to the Raleigh area make him a critical asset for the firm’s local growth and talent acquisition efforts.

A North Carolina State University graduate, Gore is already integrated into the local business landscape through his board work with Wake Christian Academy and With Purpose International. His appointment arrives as FNB continues to solidify its presence in the state, currently managing nearly 100 branches and over 370 ATMs across North Carolina. The bank’s regional strategy relies on anchoring its operations in major metropolitan hubs, including Charlotte, Greensboro, and the Triangle area, to support its $51 billion asset base.
