Max Stock Reports Shifts in Major Shareholdings and Executive Options

Max Stock Limited, Israel’s prominent discount retailer, released its updated ownership report as of September 30, 2026, detailing significant fluctuations among institutional investors and the distribution of equity-based compensation to senior management following the expiration of previous controlling shareholder agreements earlier this year.

Institutional heavyweights continue to command the largest slices of Max Stock’s equity. Harel Insurance Investments & Financial Services maintains a significant stake, holding 11.17% through its provident funds, while Migdal Insurance & Financial Holdings reports 8.65% via its profit-sharing life insurance policies. These positions saw minor adjustments over the third quarter, alongside shifts within Meitav Investment House and Y.D. More Investments.

The leadership landscape also reflects internal changes, marked by the issuance of share options and restricted share units to senior officers. Executives including Shlomo Cohen, Shahar Kanizo, and Ofir Edri received new allocations, part of the company's equity compensation plan finalized in August 2026. This activity follows the January 8, 2026, milestone where the shareholders' agreement between Moose Holdco Ltd. and Ori Max expired, effectively ending their status as joint controlling stakeholders of the Caesarea-based firm.
