Collective X Health Secures $3.2 Million to Fix Female Data Bias

Women have been systematically excluded from clinical research for decades, leaving AI models and health apps reliant on male-centric data. Collective X Health, a startup emerging from stealth today, aims to bridge this evidence gap with a $3.2 million pre-seed round to provide research-backed intelligence for the female body.

The San Francisco-based platform, co-founded by exercise physiologist Dr. Stacy Sims, functions as a B2B intelligence layer for wearables, performance brands, and digital health providers. By licensing structured, peer-reviewed data through an API, the company allows developers to move beyond general-purpose AI models that often struggle with hormonal insights and female-specific health benchmarks. Founding clients include Human Powered Health and Altra Running.

Funding was co-led by Council Capital and Anthemis Female Innovators Lab Fund, with additional support from SoGal Ventures, Emerson Collective, and Muse Capital. The capital will fuel the expansion of the company’s research database and support a grant program, bolstered by a $200,000 commitment from Momentous, designed to incentivize new studies in women’s sports science. The platform’s scientific backbone is maintained by a collective of over 20 MDs and PhDs who verify the integrity of the research base, ensuring that every insight provided to enterprise partners remains auditable and grounded in female physiology.
