The discovery, which includes a high-grade subsection of 1.7 meters at 347.07 g/t gold and 9,526.36 g/t silver, featured visible gold within the core samples. These results extend the known mineralization to the west and south, suggesting the company may be nearing the primary source of the Vortex system. The silver-equivalent grade for this intercept is more than 50% higher than any previously recorded at the mine site.
Executive Chairman and CEO Diane Garrett stated that the combination of longer intervals and higher concentrations indicates a robust geological potential. The company has already initiated follow-up drilling to further evaluate the Vortex and Brimstone systems. Hycroft continues to advance its strategy of transitioning toward processing sulfide mineralization at the Nevada-based property, leveraging these exploration gains to expand its resource base.
