The project centers on integrating Immersive Wisdom’s version 5 software, designed to facilitate resilient, live-data briefings for distributed teams. By bridging web-browser interfaces, virtual desktop infrastructure, and native client applications, the platform enables collaborative workspaces even in low-bandwidth, disconnected, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) environments. This connectivity allows headquarters and edge personnel to operate in shared digital rooms without requiring physical proximity.
Michael Appelbaum, CEO of Immersive Wisdom, noted that the technology is intended to maintain operational cohesion in challenging communications landscapes. The company, founded in 2016 and backed by In-Q-Tel, has previously provided similar remote operations platforms to the U.S. Air Force and other Army units, focusing on logistics and defense sectors.
