Yamazawa Co. Ltd. recorded a net profit of 657 million yen for the half-year ending August 31, 2026, marking a decline from the 755 million yen reported during the same period a year prior. These results, prepared under Japanese accounting standards, reflect a complex shift in the company’s bottom-line performance.

Yamazawa Co. Reports Profit Dip Despite Higher Operating Gains

While net profits trended downward, the company’s core operational efficiency improved. Operating profit climbed to 680 million yen from 595 million yen, while pretax profit reached 790 million yen, up from 650 million yen in the previous year. This discrepancy suggests that non-operating factors significantly influenced the final net income figure.

Revenue for the period totaled 49.94 billion yen, down from 53.08 billion yen in 2025. Consequently, earnings per share fell to 64.02 yen from 70.03 yen, with diluted earnings per share similarly adjusting to 63.98 yen compared to 69.98 yen a year ago.
