The company’s leadership maintains that all day-to-day operations and financial reporting are handled independently of the shareholder under scrutiny. According to the firm, the ongoing investigation concerns business activities entirely separate from Yiren Digital’s focus on insurance brokerage and AI-enabled financial services. Furthermore, the company stated it does not provide financial guarantees to its parent or any of its affiliates.
Despite the external pressure, Yiren Digital intends to proceed with its 20-million-dollar share repurchase program authorized in July. As of the end of June, the company reported holding approximately 1.7 billion yuan in cash and equivalents, a reserve it considers sufficient to maintain the program. The firm previously recognized credit losses on related-party loan receivables in its second-quarter results and continues to monitor the situation for any further financial impact that may require public disclosure.
