Lassa Targets Winter Market with New Snoways 5 and Competus Winter 3

Lassa has launched its latest winter tyre lineup, introducing the Snoways 5 for passenger vehicles and the Competus Winter 3 for SUVs. Engineered with the brand’s NextGen technology, the new range prioritizes enhanced traction on wet and snowy surfaces while accommodating the specific requirements of electric and hybrid drivetrains.

The Snoways 5 represents a technical shift for the brand, earning the TÜV Performance Mark after independent testing confirmed improvements over competitor averages. Specifically, the tyre shows a 4% increase in aquaplaning resistance and 3% gains in snow acceleration and lateral grip. Beyond raw performance, the updated tread pattern reduces rolling resistance, contributing to improved energy efficiency for motorists.

Adapting this platform for the heavy-vehicle segment, the Competus Winter 3 brings the same winter-focused design to SUVs. Both models carry the EV Ready designation, signaling their compatibility with the weight profiles and torque characteristics of modern electric and hybrid fleets. To support the shift toward larger rim sizes, Lassa has rolled out a broad inventory, with the Snoways 5 available in 46 sizes and the Competus Winter 3 in 42, ranging from 15 to 21 inches. This expansion brings the brand’s market coverage for European winter fitments to 84%, with availability scheduled for the 2026 winter season.
