The move aligns with TruGolf's strategy to streamline ownership records as its franchise network expands toward a committed target of 221 locations. By utilizing Polymath’s regulated digital securities infrastructure, TruGolf Links intends to automate investor onboarding, identity verification, and transfer restrictions directly within the tokenized assets. This setup creates a real-time, compliant ledger designed to support upcoming fractional franchise ownership and equipment leasing programs, slated for rollout in early 2027.
Nate Larsen, President of TruGolf Links, framed the shift as a modernization of capital markets for the indoor golf industry, while Natalie Hirsch, CFO of TruGolf and interim CEO of Polymath, noted that the project serves as a functional model for private companies seeking to modernize equity management. The integration of Polymesh—a permissioned, Layer-1 blockchain built specifically for regulated assets—represents a shift toward embedding compliance directly into the asset layer rather than relying on manual administrative oversight.
