ICAT Logistics Executes Five-Day Transit for Les Misérables World Tour

With 48 airline pallets and a schedule that had outgrown its original transport plan, the production of Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular faced a daunting relocation from Brisbane to Taipei. ICAT Logistics managed the complex move, compressing the entire operation into a strictly enforced five-day window.

The scale of the production presented significant challenges, as the equipment exceeded the weight and volume capacity of a single air charter flight. As the tour added gear mid-transit, the logistics team had to continuously recalculate routing and air capacity while managing updated customs filings across international jurisdictions. To maintain the timeline, ICAT moved operations directly into the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, constructing the 48 airline pallets on-site to ensure immediate load-out efficiency.

Jake Blount, EVP of Sales at ICAT, noted that the gap between load-out and load-in for modern productions is shrinking, requiring logistics providers to absorb the operational weight of the tour. Beyond the Brisbane-to-Taipei leg, the company has managed similar transitions across global markets, including Dubai, Sydney, Tokyo, and Singapore. This project underscores the firm’s expanding live events division, which now supports touring productions across 190 countries by providing real-time manifest adjustments and localized, boots-on-the-ground support.
