Progressive Shares Slide as Third-Quarter Profits Miss Estimates

Net income for the third quarter settled at $2.54 billion, a 3% dip compared to the previous year. This performance fell short of the $2.56 billion consensus target tracked by FactSet. The earnings per share figure of $4.37 also trailed the $4.42 forecast anticipated by analysts, signaling a slight cooling in the insurer's recent growth trajectory.
