Keystone Strategy Opens Sydney Office to Target AI Transformation

Global advisory firm Keystone is establishing a permanent presence in Sydney, marking its second expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. The move aims to meet surging demand from Australian corporations and law firms for specialized guidance on AI-driven business models, regulatory hurdles, and complex competition litigation.

The new office, located at 1 Elizabeth Street, opens on October 15 with a team of roughly a dozen staff. Keystone plans to triple its local headcount within two years, blending international secondees with Australian hires. This expansion follows years of remote advisory work, including the firm’s involvement in Epic Games’ litigation against Google.

CEO Jeff Marowits noted that the firm is responding to a shift where AI decisions are no longer purely technical, but fundamental to competitive advantage and regulatory exposure. To anchor its local expertise, the firm has appointed Dr. Lilla Csorgo, former Chief Economist at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, as Partner and Senior Economic Advisor. She joins a leadership group that includes Senior Partner Michael Cragg and Professor Joshua Gans, further integrating the firm’s global economics and strategy capabilities with the Australian market. The Sydney hub will focus on AI implementation, governance, and the legal consequences of digital platform competition.
