Since the program launched in 2024, the total volume of donated goods has climbed to nearly 40,000 items. David Molella, President of Beltone Hearing, attributed the success to the collective efforts of staff, patients, and local residents who turned the annual drive into a significant community tradition. The initiative, timed to coincide with Hunger Action Month, aims to bridge the gap for local food banks struggling to meet rising demand.
Beyond the physical food donations, the Beltone Foundation is awarding $4,500 in grants to the top three performing centers. The Uniontown, Pennsylvania office led the national effort with 6,927 items, earning a $3,000 donation for the Fayette County Community Action Food Bank. Additional support was directed to organizations in Visalia, California, and Warsaw, Indiana, which collected 1,353 and 865 items respectively. These financial contributions aim to amplify the impact of the grassroots collection efforts as the company prepares to expand the program into its fourth year in 2027.
