The initiative integrates SpectroChip’s photonic chip-based sensing technology with the PurMinds SwiftLab Platform. By embedding a full-spectrum spectrometer into a portable reader, the companies aim to convert standard lateral-flow tests into quantitative diagnostic results within five minutes. Siaogang Hospital will provide the institutional infrastructure necessary for evaluating these testing workflows, assessing diagnostic performance, and conducting talent development.
As part of the framework, SpectroChip has committed NT$3 million (approximately US$94,000) in funding to support the hospital's research and educational activities over the five-year term. While the agreement facilitates a structured environment for performance evaluation, all clinical studies remain subject to institutional review board approval and ethical oversight. The collaboration does not create a new legal entity or physical facility, but rather provides a formalized pathway to test diagnostic applications in real-world clinical settings.
