STA Jets Expands Mountain West Footprint with International Jet Buyout

Southern California-based STA Jets has signed a definitive agreement to acquire International Jet, a veteran private aviation firm operating out of Centennial, Colorado. This strategic move grants STA a long-standing foothold in the Rocky Mountain region and integrates a diverse fleet and charter operation into its growing national network.

The acquisition merges STA’s existing operations—spanning hubs in Santa Ana, Van Nuys, San Jose, New York, and Fort Lauderdale—with a company boasting 47 years of industry history. International Jet, which relocated from California to the Denver area in 1980, holds the title of the longest-tenured operator at Centennial Airport. Beyond its standard charter and management services, the firm brings a specialized background in medical transport, having completed over 10,000 such flights during the last quarter-century.

Kurt Belcher, founder of STA Jets, emphasized that the integration aims to bolster fleet capacity and service breadth while maintaining the reputation for consistency established by International Jet. The Colorado-based operator holds FAA Part 135 certification and maintains a private passenger terminal alongside a maintenance program recognized with the Diamond Award of Excellence. By absorbing these assets, STA seeks to leverage a broader geographic reach and increased aircraft availability to enhance its comprehensive private aviation offerings.
