The company’s electronics division remains a primary driver, recording a 24.7% revenue growth through the third quarter of 2026. This segment continues to secure contracts in AI servers, power supplies, and semiconductor applications. Simultaneously, MetaTech is scaling its biomedical operations by partnering with Zheng Yang Biomedical to produce human platelet lysate (hPL), a move designed to reduce industry reliance on animal-derived materials while meeting tightening safety regulations.
Central to the expansion is the development of Elate Ocular®, a treatment for dry eye disease. With the global market for such therapies projected to reach US$11.1 billion by 2028, MetaTech is preparing for clinical trials and local manufacturing in Taiwan. Chairman Alex Chen emphasized the firm's transition into an intelligent Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (i CDMO). By utilizing AI-driven systems for GMP documentation, the company claims to have cut document processing times by one-third. MetaTech, through its subsidiary Locus Cell, aims to position Taiwan as a central hub for cell therapy manufacturing, bolstered by licensing agreements with Japan’s iPS Academia Japan and ongoing international collaborations.
