The new instruments, identified by ticker symbols TBX for the B500 and TBQ for the B100, are traded exclusively on the MIAX Futures exchange. By removing exchange fees and providing free market data, MIAX aims to lower the barrier for individual investors looking to manage exposure to large-cap U.S. companies. NinjaTrader, which serves approximately 4.5 million users, integrated these products to provide active traders with additional tools for strategy refinement and risk mitigation.
Thomas P. Gallagher, Chairman and CEO of MIAX, noted that the collaboration aligns with the firm’s strategy to support the rapidly expanding retail investor base in the futures market. Following the initial launch of these products on the proprietary MIAX Futures Onyx platform earlier this year, the company plans further expansion. MIAX expects to introduce cash options on both indexes on its MIAX Options exchange later, aiming to improve capital efficiencies through clearing at The Options Clearing Corporation. Additional retail brokers are expected to adopt these futures products throughout the fourth quarter of 2026.
