After 23 years at the helm of Denver-based alternative asset manager Bow River Capital, founder Blair Richardson is stepping aside as CEO. Richardson transitions to the role of Chairman, where he will maintain focus on investor relations and high-level strategic planning. His tenure saw the firm evolve from a single operation into a multi-strategy platform spanning private credit, real estate, and venture capital, with a specific focus on the lower middle market across the Rocky Mountain West and Southwest.

Hiatrides joined the firm in 2015, bringing over two decades of experience from his previous tenure at KPMG Corporate Finance. During his time at Bow River, he earned a reputation for managing complex transactions and overseeing the growth of the private equity arm. His appointment signals a push to maintain the firm’s standing as a boutique manager while doubling down on investment performance and risk management.
