The acquisition centers on BioReference Health’s clinical and women’s health testing services, alongside its urology and corrections-focused operations. Beyond the laboratory capabilities, Labcorp will fold more than 80 patient service centers into its existing network, aiming to capture roughly $250 million in annual revenue from the acquired assets during the first year post-closing.
A key driver of the investment is the 4Kscore blood test, an assay designed to assess the risk of aggressive prostate cancer prior to biopsy decisions. The additional $150 million payout remains contingent on the revenue trajectory of this specific diagnostic test. The transaction is currently pending standard regulatory approval.
