Johnson joined the company in 2011 and took charge of Resource Industries in 2016. During her tenure, she shifted the division’s strategy toward autonomous mining and modern site technologies, eventually securing the segment’s strongest financial performance in over a decade. CEO Joe Creed credited her disciplined approach with stabilizing the business during a period of extreme market volatility and positioning the firm as a leader in mining innovation.
Derrick York brings 16 years of company experience to the new role. Since 2023, he has led the global business unit responsible for industrial gas turbines and compressors. His background includes leadership positions in the company’s Oil & Gas and Marine division, as well as earlier roles in finance and corporate development. York holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. To facilitate the transition, Johnson will serve in an advisory capacity from November through her retirement date.
