Seligman inherits an institution that recently finalized an 83,000-square-foot renovation, cementing its status as the world’s largest veterinary teaching hospital and New York City’s sole Level 1 trauma center. During her previous tenure as co-chair, she oversaw the completion of the Gift of Love capital campaign, which provided the financial backbone for the hospital's modernization. CEO Helen Irving credited Seligman’s partnership during this transition as vital to securing the center’s future.

Beyond her work in veterinary medicine, Seligman brings an extensive corporate and legal background to the position. Her resume includes executive roles at Sony Corporation and a partnership at the law firm Williams & Connolly LLP, where she represented high-profile clients including the Clintons. She currently maintains board seats at OpenAI, Intuitive Machines, and MeiraGTx Holdings. Her leadership at the center now shifts toward leveraging the newly upgraded facility to advance scientific discovery and regional veterinary care standards.
