The new facility, dubbed Amped Universe, organizes training areas around specific moods and settings rather than equipment types. Members navigate between zones that include a Roman colosseum for strength training, a Brooklyn Bridge-themed women’s area, and a Balinese-inspired studio for Reformer Pilates. Other zones offer space for glute-focused training, celestial-themed meditation, and a theater-style cardio room. Founder and CEO Travis LaBazzo noted that the goal is to shift the gym experience from a repetitive chore to a journey of discovery.
Despite the theatrical design, the club maintains a focus on functional, serious fitness. By consolidating Reformer Pilates, recovery suites, and specialized training environments under one membership, the company aims to democratize access to boutique-style wellness. While official opening dates and presale details remain forthcoming, the project marks a significant pivot for the brand toward experiential design, attempting to prove that high-end, immersive environments can exist outside of luxury price points.
