The litigation centers on allegations that Coastal Financial misrepresented the credit risks tied to its CCBX business unit. According to the complaint, the company provided misleading statements regarding the extent of potential credit losses and the actual value of its contractual indemnification protections. Investors were reportedly led to believe that the firm maintained adequate safeguards against partner-related risks; however, the suit claims that these disclosures were materially false, resulting in financial damages once accurate information reached the market.
While a lawsuit has been filed, no class has been formally certified. Investors are not currently represented by counsel unless they choose to retain one. Participation as a lead plaintiff is not a prerequisite for sharing in any potential future recovery, and investors retain the option to remain absent class members. The Rosen Law Firm, which is soliciting participants for the action, operates on a contingency fee basis, meaning plaintiffs incur no out-of-pocket costs for the legal proceedings.
