Cosimo Scarano, head of the Foundation, describes the anniversary as a reminder of the organization’s core mission to inspire sustainable cooking and eating habits globally. Yannick Fierling, CEO of the Electrolux Group, notes that the nonprofit was established to leverage the company’s position in the appliance industry to address food insecurity directly. The organization’s efforts have centered on providing practical skills to vulnerable populations and fostering community resilience.
Key performance indicators from the last ten years underscore the scale of these operations. The "Like a Chef" program has successfully transitioned over 1,900 individuals into the labor market by teaching zero-waste culinary techniques. Simultaneously, the Foundation has facilitated the distribution of 3.6 million meals, bolstered by a 2026 collaboration with the UN World Food Programme. Educational reach has been significant, with the Food Heroes program instructing 500,000 participants on sustainable eating, alongside a professional curriculum that has trained 20,000 chefs worldwide. These combined awareness campaigns have reached an estimated 238 million people, as the group sets its sights on broader educational targets for 2030.
