Steel Dynamics and Crown Holdings Slide Following Quarterly Misses

Steel Dynamics shares fell 5.5% to $231.75 after the steelmaker posted third-quarter profits that trailed consensus analyst estimates. The downward momentum extended to Crown Holdings, which saw its stock drop 4.5% to $109.76 following fourth-quarter earnings guidance that also missed market expectations.

Conversely, 3M shares climbed 5.4% to $170.77 after the company granted Amazon a warrant to purchase 3.2 million shares, cementing an expanded commercial partnership. Tradeweb Markets also saw positive movement, with shares rising 2.9% to $117.99 following the announcement of a $1.97 billion agreement to acquire Trumid.
