United & Collective Slips to 122 Million Yen Loss

United & Collective Co. Ltd. swung to a net loss of 122 million yen for the half-year ended August 31, a sharp reversal from the 8 million yen profit recorded during the same period in 2025. The Japanese firm’s latest financial statement highlights a deepening struggle with profitability despite stable revenue.

United & Collective Slips to 122 Million Yen Loss

Revenue for the period remained essentially flat at 3.33 billion yen, narrowly exceeding the 3.32 billion yen reported last year. However, the company’s operating performance deteriorated significantly, resulting in an operating loss of 53 million yen compared to a 57 million yen profit in the prior year. Pretax losses also widened to 77 million yen from a 41 million yen profit previously.

Shareholders face a loss per share of 27.11 yen, a stark decline from the 0.71 yen loss per share seen in the previous cycle. Reflecting these financial pressures, the company has declared no dividend for the midyear period, maintaining a conservative approach as it navigates these mounting losses under Japanese accounting standards.
