The outage triggered over 1,500 reports on Downdetector, signaling significant friction for the British firm’s massive user base. While a company spokesperson assured that all customer capital and personal data remain secure, the bank confirmed that core functions—including stock trading and money transfers—remain intermittently unavailable while engineers work toward a resolution.

Although the cloud giant’s engineering teams are actively investigating the errors, the resulting downtime has highlighted the fragility of relying on a centralized cloud provider for essential financial operations.
