MSCI Shares Surge on Robust Third-Quarter Revenue Growth

Investors pushed MSCI shares up 5.7% to $595.49 on Tuesday, marking the firm's strongest single-day performance since October 2025. The rally followed a third-quarter earnings report that surpassed Wall Street expectations, driven by solid demand across its analytics and private capital business segments.

MSCI Shares Surge on Robust Third-Quarter Revenue Growth

The investment research firm reported operating revenue of $892 million for the period ending September 30, a 12.4% increase over the previous year and notably higher than the $887.8 million anticipated by FactSet analysts. Net profit reached $351 million, or $4.86 per share, climbing from $325.3 million and $4.25 per share during the same quarter last year.

Chief Executive Henry Fernandez credited the growth to record-setting recurring net-new sales within the company’s Analytics, Private Capital Solutions, and Index divisions. With recurring subscription revenues rising 7.7% and a steady retention rate of 95%, the company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance for free cash flow and adjusted EBITDA.
