Toyota Recalls 106,000 Vehicles Over Fuel Leak Fire Risk

A faulty fuel tube connection near the fuel tank has prompted Toyota to recall nearly 106,000 vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration warned that the defect could lead to a fuel leak, creating a significant fire hazard if exposed to an ignition source during vehicle operation.

Toyota Recalls 106,000 Vehicles Over Fuel Leak Fire Risk

The recall focuses on specific models, including certain hybrid Toyota Land Cruisers manufactured between 2024 and 2027. Owners of these vehicles are advised to address the potential for the connection to disconnect, which poses a direct threat to vehicle safety.

To rectify the issue, authorized dealers will inspect the fuel tube connection. Depending on the findings, technicians will either install a supplemental clamp or replace the resin fuel tube entirely. These repairs will be performed free of charge to vehicle owners.
