Developer Adura estimates the field could provide up to six percent of the UK’s natural gas supply at its peak, though campaign group Uplift suggests the actual contribution to total demand will hover closer to two percent. Fahnbulleh maintains that the Jackdaw project aligns with the country’s 2050 net-zero targets by reducing reliance on imported fuels with higher carbon footprints.
