The partnership aims to scale the brand's footprint through a mix of standalone boutiques, shop-in-shop retail spaces, and an aggressive push into digital commerce and wholesale channels. While the companies withheld specific financial details of the transaction, the strategy signals a long-term commitment to capturing market share in the region.
Morris Goldfarb, chief executive of G-III Apparel Group, characterized the move as a focused effort to build the business for the long term. G-III already manages a diverse portfolio including DKNY, Calvin Klein, and Tommy Hilfiger, while WHP Global oversees brands such as Vera Wang and Express. By leveraging I.T. Group’s local retail infrastructure, the partners intend to accelerate the visibility of Marc Jacobs across a critical consumer market.
