The breakthrough follows a late-stage revision to the deal terms, where Tata Motors increased its offer to 14.4 euros per share, a 30-cent premium over the initial bid. This adjustment pushed the total equity valuation to 3.905 billion euros, a figure that the Iveco board formally endorsed as a favorable outcome for its investors.
This consolidation remains contingent on the planned spinoff of Iveco's defense division, a segment already slated for acquisition by the Italian aerospace and defense contractor Leonardo. Once that separation is complete, the integration of Iveco’s primary commercial business into the broader Tata Group portfolio will proceed, marking a significant shift in the global heavy-vehicle manufacturing landscape.
