T-Mobile Third-Quarter Earnings Surge Past Wall Street Estimates

T-Mobile US outperformed financial expectations this quarter, riding a wave of increased postpaid subscriber growth and higher service revenue. The Bellevue-based carrier reported a profit of $3.46 billion, signaling strong momentum in its core wireless business even as the broader telecommunications landscape faces new competitive pressure from satellite-based rivals.

T-Mobile Third-Quarter Earnings Surge Past Wall Street Estimates

The company’s quarterly earnings hit $3.22 a share, comfortably beating the $2.89 consensus estimate from FactSet analysts. Revenue climbed 7.4% to $23.58 billion, bolstered by a 9% rise in postpaid service revenue to $16.27 billion. T-Mobile successfully added 274,000 net postpaid accounts, surpassing the projected 250,900, while average monthly revenue per account grew 4% to $155.73.

Chief Executive Srini Gopalan attributed the performance to a value proposition that continues to resonate with consumers, framing the results as an early stage of broader growth. Despite this, the company tightened its full-year guidance, projecting about 1 million net account additions and refining its core adjusted earnings forecast to a range of $37.35 billion to $37.45 billion. This operational outlook arrives as T-Mobile, along with industry peers AT&T and Verizon, braces for potential encroachment from SpaceX, which recently secured $8 billion in cellular spectrum licenses to expand its Starlink operations beyond traditional broadband.
