The Tokyo-listed manufacturer managed to improve its operational efficiency, with operating profit rising to 1.23 billion yen from 1.19 billion yen in the previous year. Pretax profit also showed upward momentum, reaching 1.27 billion yen. However, these gains were offset by increased tax burdens or other non-operating expenses, resulting in a slight contraction in net income. Earnings per share fell to 46.10 yen from 46.51 yen.
Management signaled confidence in shareholder returns, outlining a dividend strategy that includes a 65 yen midyear payout and a projected year-end dividend of 70 yen. This brings the total annual dividend forecast to 135 yen, a modest increase from the 130 yen paid out in the prior fiscal year. These results were calculated in accordance with Japanese accounting standards.
