Operating profit for the Tokyo-listed firm fell to 4.40 billion yen from 5.00 billion yen, while pretax profit dropped to 4.33 billion yen compared to 5.04 billion yen in the prior year. Nippon Gas Profit Slides as Revenue Climbs
Nippon Gas Co. reported a decline in net profit to 2.90 billion yen for the half-year ending September 30, down from 3.44 billion yen during the same period last year. Despite the bottom-line contraction, the company saw its total revenue rise to 97.59 billion yen, up from 88.20 billion yen previously.
